Game stopped working

My game suddenly stopped working after playing it. Every time i try to open it the logo appears on the desktop and my steam says I'm in game, then after a few seconds nothing happens and steam shows I'm online again. I've tried verifying it and uninstalled and reinstalled it, still doesn't work.
Any help will be appreciated
