I feel sorry for Tots. He's stuck square between two entities who think they are the customer (but only one of them is right.)
I for one have had a great run with the America's Army franchise. Learned a lot, met some great people, made international friends, had a laugh or three, became a better gamer than I was in my 30's (that's not really saying much.... ) and had some opportunities to explore skills and interests I didn't know I had.
Big win! Not perfect, but I sure don't blame the Devs for it.

Things come up guys. I'm sure the PS4 bugs or issues they are experiencing were not anticipated and it's taking longer to deal with. The reason they probably don't give you out exact dates (though nothing like that can be set in stone) is because if they do and something comes up like crippling issues, people will complain a lot more.

With the Beta’s testing another Release Candidate in closed this is now SUSFU.

It has not yet reached TARFU, (Totally And Royally Fouled UP) status even though some of you think otherwise.
Not really suprised about patches/updates taking so long etc.. there is the whole PS4 release.. and bugfixing, new content etc.. and let's not forget we recently learned they have entire other games in the pipeline.

The release candidate has been in closed beta testing for a couple of weeks. Things have been mostly good and passing the master test plan. There are a few minor bugs we fixed late last week and the latest release candidate is in testing now. Assuming it goes well we should expect the update very soon. I'm also in the process of working on a roadmap for PC and PS4 with our content and update plans for the next year or so.

"Soon" is an unspecified time. It just means "in the near future". So if someone says "I will do that soon", you don't know if they mean "in one hour" or "in one day" or "next week". You would ask "How soon is soon?" to get a more specific time. Another way to say it is:
The secrecy involving patches has been an AA fixture since the days of the original America's Army. People would get frustrated back then as well. In those days we'd be in the dark until one day a sitrep popped up on AA.com and then we knew a patch was a week or two away.

The "Update plans for the next year or so" part got me salivating a little. It tells me we have at least another year of potentially new things even if we get those updates every six month's.
