2. Updated server

3. Updated PB

4. Configured server.ini files

Did you plug in your local IP on the machine you are hosting from, and check "Use Multihome with IP" ?

Bound Server IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:7778 .......This is your local, internal IP
Steam Bound Server IP: (Will show up as above)
Server Authorization IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx........This is your EXTERNAL IP that you used to register with.

Could you please post your server command line here, minus personal details or passwords? It's at the bottom of the Host A Server window, and you can Copy and Paste it.

    Here is mine:

    "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\America's Army\AAPG\Binaries\Win32\AAGame.exe" server BDX_Crossfire_C4 /GLOBAL /AuthServerUserName=username /AuthServerPassword=serverPassword /AuthServerIP=11.22.33.44 /MULTIHOME=192.168.1.12 /NOPAUSE /NOHOMEDIR /CONFIGSUBDIR=AAHostAServerConfig-closedhastest /SGSP=7778

EDIT: I can see your command line listed inside the log above.

Also, could you post what ports you opened in your router?

I think your log says port 7779 is needed for Auth. (I'm digging around for my own port info here)

I have the following ports open:

    7778 UDP (Default Game port)
    7779 UDP (Auth port)
7780 UDP ("A" port? Steam Server Init Service)
8765 UDP (InGame VOIP Teamspeak port)
    8778 UDP
    9987 UDP
    27000 - 27030 TCP/UDP (27015 Steam Query Port, 27020 Updater port)

If you look at your log above, you can see where the ports are used.

Okay made the changes but still getting same errors

Deleted all old port forwarding and got only ports you listed.

Your setup should be right, now. It seems it's not Auth'ing?

    Some other possibles:
How long ago did you register the server?

Are you running the exe as admin in Windows?

Is the exe allowed through the Firewall?

What modem/router setup are you using? Has your static/dynamic IP changed since registering? etc.

Okay, when i check my ports on modem it says they are open on the port forwarding. + im a DMZ. but when i do a port check they show as not open.

I registered around noon today. and it is almost midnight now.

I have the EXE's on the exceptions list. And running server as Admin.

    I have static IP
  • Keebler750Keebler750 Posts: 3,607Beta Tester
Ah. You may need to wait a few days after registering before things take effect.

Also, the whole idea of port forwarding is so you don't have to DMZ the entire computer (since this opens it up entirely to the internet.)

As to the port check, it's pretty common for a modem/router to not respond to that kind of check. I wouldn't worry. I'm betting your only issue is TIME. Half a day is pretty soon, since this is all done behind the scenes manually by one of the crew here at AAPG.

    :+1:

Okay, i will wait. Check back in a few days

Good luck to you. If you can run a LAN server, the only differences for GLOBAL are the ports, the firewall, and the auth, so you should be good to go! :)

Post here if you need someone to test it from outside your network.

I received the email confirmation two days ago.

And still the error: (Warning: MASS did not have valid server mode for non-LAN server.)

It at least used to be that the email confirmation happened, but there was still another step that had to happen internally for which no confirmation email was normally sent. I went through this same process as you when I ran servers. It was clunky and poor design to not have access when the approval email went out.

Hopefully they fixed that by now, but you may still have to wait a bit more.

Are you trying to play from the same machine that's hosting your server?
  • -=TW=-SgtKurisu-=TW=-SgtKurisu Posts: 25Player
