Players Downloading custom maps

I recently got a server through gameservers. I put the maps in aapg/aagame/cookedpc/maps. I can connect to the server with the maps running. But I already have them on my pc. I have joined servers that will download them upon connecting to them. My question here how do I set my server up to do that. I have looked at some config files. I edited AAEngine. Was some settings in there for allow downloads. I set it to True. When someone tries to connect it just says version mismatch. Yet works for me. If anyone could help me here that would be great.

    The version in the workshop is newer/older that the files that you have.

    One thing I see is the maps don't go in the CookedPC\Maps folder but the CookedPC\UserMadeMaps folder...?

    Yes do what Keebler said. Also make sure you add the metadata file along with map in the umm folder.

  • Alright I actually tried it before I left for work. I created the directory UserMadeMaps in the CookedPC directory. I upload the umap file and the meta file for the map I wanted to use. I set the server command line to run the map and restarted the server. I deleted the map from my computer before entering the server and it still says version mismatch and will not download.

    This is what I do and it works..

    Subscribe to the map you want to add to your server.
    Then I go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\203290\538805155
    Then to my server files
    AAPG/AAGame/CookedPC
    In there you should have a file called folder called usermademaps if not create one.

    Then you want to add the map so upload it from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\203290\538805155

    Once you upload it go to
    configuration files then to AAPG\AAGame\Config\AAGame.ini
    In there you need to add map name like this.

    MapRotationList=FLO_MorobayuTownClear$76561198053861003_ac

    Once you have done that restart your server and your done..

    In adition to what is posted above....
    Place quotes around the map file name in order to get it to rotate on the server.
    eg:
    MapRotationList="FLO_MorobayuTownClear$76561198053861003_ac"

    Currently the map vote widget is broken, if you run UMM's and official maps in your rotation together you will get the following in your post match Map Vote:
    "CurrentMap"
    "Breach_ex"
    "Breach_ex"
    If you remove the official maps from rotation and vote list by placing ; in front of the command line
    eg:
    ;FLO_Breach_EX

    This will eliminate those maps from the rotation, doing this will result in the map vote widget giving you the option to either, Replay Current Map or Play Next Map. I have so far been able to get the third vote box to display correctly but it's better than nothing and the Dev's are working on a fix....

  • This is NOT true for me. When "Creating" UserMadeMaps in CrookedPC, and loading into server .ini file. No maps are available or viewable in 'Switch Maps' admin console or Map Rotation.
    Must add maps to CrookedPC/Maps and MapRotation in .ini file for server.

    The above info on how to run UMMs is no longer valid.

    ...SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\America's Army\AAPG\AAGame\Config has the server configs in a folder called AAHostAServerConfig if you've already started it via Host A Server.

    The maps get downloaded and stored in

    ...SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\America's Army\AAPG\Binaries\Win32\steamapps\workshop\content\203290 under the various Map ID numbers.

    The file AASteamUGCManager.ini in the above server config folder is where the Map IDs are added in order to download and run on the server, and AAGame.ini is where the Map Rotation and Vote Lists are edited.

  • Tried to download this way and i have got it so far that the new map is actually showing in both MapVote and Maprotation even in AdminChangemap ?

    When i do switch map though the game quits as normal and we wait rolling the video and just as it is to start the map it says kicked (Connection Lost) ?
    have i done something wrong or what =
    1. i have rent server from a server provider company.
    2. i have followed and downloaded map and done exactly as

    4. but as i said when server joins map it directly kicks and i have to restart server so it goes to first map to get in again ?

    some one who got tips for me or idea`S i have asked around no one seem's to know
    i have asked my server provider though im just now waiting answer nbut i really wanna try this map hehehehe

    Hey, Delton.....can I ask about your path to the config files? Yours seem to be in the \config folder, which for me is the location of the Default*.ini files, not the server configs. Could you clarify please, because I'm still in debug mode on this stuff...
