  you can! just rename your original copy
  
  programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/common --- Here you see Americas army rename it to Americas Army (open) .. then Opt in.. and you will see there is a new folder Americas Army .. thats the opt in

  youre probably gonna have to check the integrity of the game after installing Opt in though..
  
  right clock on AAPG/ properties/local files/ verify the integrity of the game
  
  I had to do it
