is this a windows 10 only issue? we had a guy not be able to launch the game at all after the last update and i still don't think he has it completely fixed. he has to actually launch the game with the old launcher.

Did your pc update to the windows 10 anniversary update yesterday or before this error occurred?
Hey, I know this is old but, this is also happening to me now. I updated the windows 10 anniversary thing but, that was days ago.
All of a sudden, after finishing a match and changing maps, I couldn't connect. I opened the console and typed "reconnect", and it reconnected, i saw the players but then I was kicked out. "Authentication Failure" message. Try many more times, authentication failure.
Then I quit and restart the game = cant even login.
Checked file cache content with steam, it told me 2 files did not check and needed to be re downloaded. I started it again, PunkBustaer ran thru and everything was green AA login screen = ?int?aagame.httpstatusmessages.66039824?
I went to americasarmy.com and try to log in and it says "HTTP request failed" I tried from 3 different computers, 3 different browsers and still can't login to even my profile!
So i cant login to my profile, and I cant enter the game at all.
Come on devs get this one fixed asap. Need my aa:pg fix :P As far as I know this is a world wide problem so should be priority #1. Currently been over an hour since I couldn't log in. To me this isn't good enough. Sure, if it was an update or downtime fair enough. But not like this.. Not like this...

At first i had the issue "AA not responding" when starting it up from steam.
I went into ?/Steam\SteamApps\common\America's Army\AAPG\Binaries\Win32
and launched "AAgame" with run as administrator.
this fixed the "AA not responding" issue and now i could try to login.
Another error occured when logging in
?int?aagame.httpstatusmessages.66039824? (number was random most of the time)
I fixed this error by right clicking "AAgame" and choosing the option "Troubleshoot compatibility".
"Troubleshoot compatibility" -> Troubleshoot program -> Mark "The program requires additional permissions".
Started it up via "AAgame" with admin settings and i could login, hope it helps.

The error message refers to the value of zero being returned for login.... I can not think of a way to clear this client side and I am stuck now not being able to log in. Is the solution for this almost complete? It seems something is creating an issue with the communication between the DB and the client. I can not resolve a rhyme or reason mine just stopped working overnight. I have changed nothing and there was not an update so I have no further info to help you recreate the issue.. Please let me and anyone else with this issue know when the solution is coming.

We are in the same boat brother. The [TOS Violation] part is that error should have nothing to do with client side fixes. The guy who formatted most likely got lucky.

I am not sure if this helps but when i do "verify integrity of cache" there are two files that return as lost or corrupt. After it fixing the issue and i try and log in the same error happens again. Then when i exit the game and try to verify integrity of cache again the same two files are lost or corrupt and the cycle goes on. Sadly steam does not tell me what the two file names are.
I also had this issue just crop up. I got kicked from a server for failing to authenticate, and then when I try to log in I get the following error message:

Works for me since 3 days now, all information is saved and it automatically logs in.
