Map Spotlight: Kaos and Rusneyev Night

Gindungo_ANG’s map Kaos leaves little question what it is about. Firefights are fast and furious here with players blasting their way through ruined structures. Collision on the ground could certainly use some cleaning up, but it is really fun to parkour your way through the playspace. Shootouts among the rubble are a lot of fun, but getting the drop on an enemy after you scale up to the top of a building feels great too. This map may not offer everything (if you are wanting a slow map with long range battles, look elsewhere) but it provides a quality experience for the gameplay aspects it chooses to focus on.

Rusneyev Night by -=}WoLvErInE{=- is a great looking map with a lot of character. The night time setting helps it stand out from the crowd, as do some other details in the map such as the zip line and the braziers which damage you if you get to close to the fire. The map offers up a number of good ‘callout’ locations making communication and map navigation easier. The cool environment plus the various route options available to players makes Rusneyev a very fun map to play. It also manages to meet the Theme requirements for this contest is unique, sort of tongue-in-cheek, way.
