But as I mentioned before I shouldn't have to learn some program and make my own maps to enjoy the game I've played since 03'.
I find these programs nothing like Cad since I'm excellent with both Autocad and Solid works.
And I don't deny the talent of any of the names mentioned or guys posting here... you all know the program, and are all capable of making maps.. from my point, you just need better knowledge of what makes a great map.
CS maps are amazing because they force the battle, create action.. AA maps, especially umm do the complete opposite! We play an FPS ..thats a first person shooter.. not a First person camper... skill is NOT in, who out hides the oponent.
In the other comp map post I made a solid list of what should go into making a map.. I hope some of you consider those points when making your next map.

I entered the contest to get my Tug Of War gametype looked at, and the flag possession bug fixed. I succeeded! Now others can use that Objective design! Apparently some server performance issues were also improved because of how bad my map was!
I dare say the poor Devs had to do A LOT of work on RockyRoad. I feel bad that I finished it so poorly.
I will try to do better next time.

IMO, it's part of what motivates me. In a way, it's less people to compete with and a better chance of your map being able to get into the game. If (and that's a huge if) the game ever becomes popular, your map can be played by tons of people. It can be a map that people play in matches and tournaments. It's a really cool thought. Most games don't even accept unofficial maps and those that do, you're competing with a huge pool of people who are pumping out maps. Even if your map is great, it may not get the exposure that others get.
What do you think has better odds? Making a comp map for CS or AAPG?
In a way, I think about the comp community here. What stops them from going to play CS comp full-time? Is it really that they like AAPG so much more than CS? Maybe they like them both equally or AAPG more, but they obviously like CS enough to play it on the side. In AAPG, they can 1. Help build a game's community and 2. Be a big fish in a smaller sea.
