Homestead Feedback on New Map

I think it plays well on the tactics and misfortunes of S&D missions that Vietnam Vets had to go through. I like the idea of slow belly crawls to get into the deepest part of the foliage only to stop frequently to listen to your surroundings. I came head-to-head on an enemy within 5 meters while we were both belly down and got a headshot kill. I know that could have easily gone the other way. I also got a lucky kill on an enemy that I could not see at all but saw some extra dark colors in between the foliage and decided to shoot. I got shot several times by enemies hiding who-knows-where.
I only got to play one full match and did well but, so far, this is one hard map. The HUD is basically useless because of the lack of info it gives you within the foliage. Enemy spots are not too helpful since they no longer follow the enemy when they move. You really have to be aware of your teamates positions and your surroundings. No complaints. I kind of like it that way.
I wonder how others feel about the new map?? I really like it.

We've done training (chipboard/MDF).. we've had stations (Redline, Overload) and a mall, this map was probably the most logical choice
So that's what "coming soon" means!!
But yes, this map has changed the ball game. 10/10 for me.
Great job Devs.

I love this community!
..pls dont joke...ahahahah....
I like that you really have to pay attention and be careful because spotting becomes useless and the foliage covers enemies really well. Sound and caution will get you through this map.
(also really love the river part)

You might be getting that effect as a "trick on the eye" because of the enemy running alongside close to other objects. A person will look faster running along different closely packed objects like foliage and tree stumps rather than against long buildings or roads. It is sort of like when you see car chase scenes in movies where top speed are only about 40 MPH or less but they look like they are going 100 MPH.
Car going fast but looks slow
car going slow but looking fast
Long story short, its the sort of map that makes you feel/look small and the world around you is Giant sized (people used to make maps much like them a lot for Unreal Tournament, years ago, for example in a bedroom) and you would not believe how slow your character feels when moving around within such a massive level
So the illlusion of scale indeed makes your character actions feel different, I've no idea what it is about the Homestead map that causes it to feel different for you, probably exactly as IO_i_OI said.
