Updated to windows 10 and now every flash that hits me drops my frames to like 4 or 5. Anyone know a fix?

Win10
Intel 2500k
290x latest drivers

Just another reason to dislike windows 10 I suppose. Never had an issue with win7 version of the driver.

I had this issue even on Windows 8 with my old laptop. It had AMD graphics, now I have NVIDIA.

With Win 7 I had random micro freezes. After upgrade to Win 10 I have no freezes.

Reversing to win7 fixed flash FPS drop, but yeah now I'm getting stutters again. It's pretty dumb but not as bad as the flash.

depending on what your fps is to begin with is "4 or 5 " frames really worth worry about if you get 90+ fps anyway ?

The issue, as i understand it, is not so much the frame drop, but rather the sync.
A frame drop from +100 to less than 10 doesnt really mater when you cant see anything.
The few screen captures i seen of this is showing a huge sync issue, the screen almost freezes and then a little later goes white, its like the white overlay has to be loaded from harddrive every time.

The few tests i done with my system also shows a big frame drop, but its not something i would be able to see as the screen is white during the slowdown, and it only lasts for a few frames adding up to something like 150ms of stutter.

Mine drops to 1 or 2 FPS but main problem is that for maybe 500ms I cant shoot, move, or release a grenade or anything else and we all know how long half a second is in this game. Not just that but because screen is white and you cant tell when freeze ends you cant turn and run like I used to as I end up running in wrong direction every time. Mainly because you don't know how much of the mouse input has been registered with the game because of what Francof Calles the sync problem. Does this make sense to anyone. sorry it is best I can explain it

Same complaint here. Its not that I can't see or anything, its that I can't predict where I'm running and I can't even shoot when the delay happens. Almost always I end up running the opposite direction.

Did you upgrade from Win7 or do a fresh install? If you did an upgrade, I'd recommend doing a full refresh (it's in the windows options somewhere). Doing the upgrade tends to open the OS to a lot of issues. When I first upgraded I was having tons of problems with FPS and freezing as well. I did a refresh and haven't had issues ever since.

Fresh windows 10 install from USB stic. hard drive cleaned in dos and reformatted using Diskpart clean command
I never do upgrade for my self or when I do others as it always buggy as [TOS Violation]. Fresh install every time
