Why are players not playing this game?

I've been into AAPG for over a year. That is about the time I get bored with "any" game, and I move on to other titles for a while. I still enjoy coming back every once in a while to stay fresh with my experience. But you can't expect people to play this game day after day and keep a full interest in it. There is a fix for player boredom and that is to come out with new versions every year before Christmas time. It works for me... BF, BF2, BF3, BF4, etc. And I quickly get bored with those games too.
But unlike other titles, this is by far the best Community out there!

I love this community!
AAPG is so addicting, and I think there's still more to do to get it polished. The key to more players is more publicity. Once the game gets more stable and some of the big bygs are fixed, I'd love to see the AGP handing out game discs at recruiting centers and events. That's how I found the game. On top of that, run some ads on popular websites, or sponsor some reviews from big name YouTubers and live streamers.
We can all do this ourselves too by putting up content on YouTube and streaming.
Just some small ideas.
Well, you know about it. You've seen my videos. Majority of my experiences with the community are awful while not my fault. Seeing people continously coming in to praise this community is just laughable.

DOBA is the community......we here are all the community. If it sucks, we can't just point at everyone else. That's why I try to discuss things, apply self-discipline, and treat others the way I would like to be treated. Throwing crap at the idea of community doesn't help make it better.
Only you......can make a difference.

If I'm not doing anything wrong or in fact not doing anything but playing the game and getting [TOS Violation] for it, then yes I think the community is indeed bad. People accusing left and right and playing nice guys on forums, what a great community. When I was playing this more actively I could've made daily reports about people insulting, tking and voting me off official servers, glad they introduced the new system even if it's not completely flawless.
I realize this community can be great and I've met some really nice people but the bad experiences overweight. Guess it goes both ways. You may consider this the greatest community on earth but I'll consider it bad. Not worse than other communities but that doesn't automatically make it a good one.

The game needs a way of matching players of similar skill with each other.
"Anti cheat" communities and server admins that ban anyone with decent game sense are enough to make players leave for games that aren't overly populated with a bunch of red necks on power trips.
I really like the intended pacing and scale of AA, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
There are certainly some really bad apples in the lot. I've seen some people who act like total d* bags or are fantastic trolls, and I still do to this day (though mostly it is always the same group of people) but overall the servers I play on have friendly people on them...albeit with nasty mouths. But always friendly.
Well, it isn't the best community ever, I wouldn't go that far, but it is certainly one of the best I've ever played on. In all I just honestly have never seen it as bad as you are saying it is and I play every day on a multiple of servers, official and non-official.
May I ask what servers you mostly play on?

It's gets quite horrible to have people constantly chatting away that your playing untoward when your simply just playing better than them. Its better now VKs got changed.. getting recklessly kicked was insane and people said yes to votes for the sake of it, but even that cant change what people have to say and sometimes it can be poisonous to the point it puts you off playing or even wanting to.
Mostly official servers due to great community banning me from the private servers I enjoyed playing on
I've even had someone messaging me on steam thinking about quitting the game due to accusations, those things can really get into people's heads if it's on a regular basis. I see it as a reason to keep playing though

Worse is if you playing badly in one map.. then it goes to one your good at and you start to play well, that also gets people started, who else launches AA one day and sucks.. but then another day cant fail? happens to me all the time haha!. It's impossible to avoid unless of course you purposefully play bad or dont allow a chain of kills without death, but most of us play for that chain of success, for the rush of doing well and the feeling you get when you pull of that rare 4v1.
When it happens you gotta take it on the chin, there's not much else you can do as no amount of reasoning makes people believe you, no matter how hard you try.. once them accusations start, your time from that point on in that server is spoilt by that one person who may pass his poisonous views onto others who then join in.. ever go 9-0? you better be ready for someone to say something
Shoot a supported person who's behind benches.. from the choke on inner.. or one nestled in the garden, single shot from lobby desk.. oh boy that sorta thing can be a real party starter. Do it twice to the same person who was stupid enough to go back there and your screwed. You might as well switch server after making the shot.
Its a form of abuse, as much as actual foul play itself and when it happens to you, it sucks. Mentioning no names as its not allowed, theres one guy who plays this game, who does nothing but call foul on people, infact he says it to anyone who kills him more than once in a match, that kinda person is funny, you can take it with a pinch of salt.. it's the ones who do it and mean it that are the real problem.
Thats a bad sign. Not any proof but just the "feeling" he cant be that good is enough to ban.

People are often too quick to accuse, though. That is true.
I love Inner_Hosp, and that map would always be a classic (like others), but once you got the maps memorized deep in your head then the challenge of playing is lost. At least, that's how I feel. Maybe some expansive maps being able to use APC's to get to certain destinations might help? Working doors have been proven to change gameplay. I don't understand the removal of that. I don't know... I'm just wondering what can be done so boredom doesn't set in??
Remember, I am not criticizing AA as I said above this is with any game.
