Can not send text messages in game (Team & Global)

  First thing to do is make sure the Team Chat and Global Chat keys are bound in your Settings > Controls area.
  
  The default settings are ENTER, Y, and T for the various chat functions. Also, there's a HUD setting for Text Chat Display = ON
  
  If they are there and still not working, that's a problem.

  Settings / Controls are ok.
  I also tried the default set and the same problem.

  I've seen they combined enter & numpad enter as the same key ( last update )....which stinks but caused me issue with text as numpad enter was my night vision. Clicked it on & off with my thumb.

  I shamefully heard the gamma slider combined with some fangly monitor brightness tweaking is the new Night vision.

  I have a feeling the OP may need to refresh his ini's to remedy this one. Close the game then navigate on your computer to
  
  Documents\My Games\America's Army Proving Grounds\AAGame\Config
  
  Then find and remove/delete the AAInput file.
  
  Relaunch game with crossed fingers and try to chat. If that fails.. then I do.

  I'm getting this since 1/6/2016. I can explain it in english a little better: With this error The enter key no longer is accepted as carriage return, so you type the message but you can't hit enter (nothing happens). It had been bound (the kbrd enter and the numpad enter started to behave as the same key. I unbound the numpad enter because it was misbehaving. The carriage return function of enter (to send the typed message still doesn't work).

  OK i just fixed it. I assigned ENTER to "Open Text Chat"
