Unlockable opfor weapons

I know that the opfor pistol is unlockable through the 1000 secures challenge, but after regularly playing with the opfor weapons (ak 105 and rpk mainly) I feel that the devs should give these guns a chance, and make them unlockable.
What do you guys think ?

    i do feel like having to pass a certain lvl or challenge to be able to get the snipergun... on the larger maps the sniper is essential for providing cover for the advancing troops, too often some new player takes that weapon and does not help the team at all with it...

    For the rest i really don't see the need for it... maybe unlocking more optics would be nice

    They are not unlockable by design and I doubt that's gonna change.

    It's good as it is. IMO one of the best things about this game is that you don't have to grind for your gear. Every unlock is just cosmetic, as far as I know the enemy pistol is a reskinned M9. So if someone can't play (=grind) a lot, they won't be in a disadvantage from the equipment side. (Of course they'll be worse, because they don't practice as much. But the game itself won't 'punish' them for not playing.)

    Making Opfor weapons unlockable would break this trend as the are significantly different from the US counterparts. I really think it'd be a bad move to make AKs unlockable.

    I wouldn't mind IF roles in some maps like in the old days. Make IF roles only allowed to use OpFor weapons. Although maybe do it a little better than the old days where these IF actually get attachments :wink:

    Sure why not

    1 or 2 IF slots wouldn't hurt and i wouldn't mind if they're restricted to iron sight AK.
