Rank vs. Honor

Does anyone else feel like they care less about ranking now that it's a rank rather than a number? I honestly feel like I hardly ever look at the rankings of anyone with the new system.
You joined the world's greatest army to become a graphic artist? Outstanding!

    It definitely is harder to distinguish between ranks than it was with honor but overall I don't mind it. This being an army game an all, the ranks do make more sense than just numbers.

    Using numbers was ridiculous. If the aim of the game is to teach us about the army, the new system helps.
    And it makes more sense to have ranks.

    I agree; I miss the old honor system. I had kinda wished for a combination of the two...It tells us how many promotions it takes to get to that rank.

    add to that the fact we had the honor reset, so ranking doesn't say anything anymore

    I like honor much better. The 1-100 like on AA2.

    Yes and no, the top ranks are administrative ranks, you wont find them on the battlefield, so its not more ridiculous with 100 honor than SMA in the game.

    Technically all NCOs can fight if the situation requires. (Major fought in Vietnam)
    I don't think AA:PG has commissioned officer ranks.

    The new system is better. It makes a lot more sense and I like it far better than the system we had.

    you are mixing apples and pears here, the top two(tree?) are purely admin. ranks.
    Normal "officers" [Lt, maj. etc) are not always admin ranks, even if they are leading ranks.

    The levels are currently 1-40. I wish there was a way to at least see the number without having to look at the guide.

    Would probably be a little too cluttered.

    It would be nice if the image of the rank had the number inside it... kind of like how it was in the open beta.

    I have absolute now knowledge about military rank. Don't know who is over or below me now. Guess I have to learn it now.

    Honor has always had a certain appeal to it, ranks are "meh".

    As far as i know you can't really tell how high someone's rank is unless you know all the rank badges by heart.

    Maybe a scroll-over popup window with all the ranks in order?

    To me the number thing was always just a number I do miss the number system but this rank symbol and rank details next to it have really grown on me. Especially since its an army game.
    Pie charts + Graphs= Very Bad.

    I liked how it was in AA3. Progress bar with numbers in the main menu, rank in-game. Every 10 levels was a rank.

    Rank doesn't much bother me whether it's stripes or numbers unless you are a new player with the lowest rank. Those are the guys I watch out for ;)

    I'm a fan of both numbers and the rank system. I'd be ok with the number inside or under the chevrons.

    the problem with current rank system is that (i believe) many players are not familiar with it.

    I only recognize the ranks I reached so far and somewhat stopped checking ranks of the players because I do not understand it right away. 1-100 honor system was clear for anyone to understand.

    I am also for combination of both on the scoreboard.
