Cooking genades

Sometimes I'll cook a grenade for 3-4 secs, throw it and it won't go off for another 5 secs like its uncooked. Anyone else having this.

I think it's a server side problem, been there for awhile. At least in my experience

Happens to me. I just thought that I had forgot to cook them. But do recall thinking many times.... [TOS Violation] I sure I cooked that name

Yes, I have seen this, in a LAN and in Official servers. I thought I was just going crazy....!

I think I've experienced this. Sometimes I feel like my nades go off later than they should have.

I always suspected some connection problem causing this. As if the server does not register the cooking in time. But sometimes it explodes much earlier, no idea what could cause that..

Are you using quick throw (1 button for everything) or the old-fashioned (AA3 style: equip nade, pull the pin, instant throw or drop the other thingy=cook, then throw) throw?
I cannot recall any times I had this problem and I'm using the old-fashioned one. (I did simply unbind the quick throw keys as well.) The old-fashion throw has some mouse pressing involved, maybe the server has an easier time dealing with that?
Theory and reality are not that different. In theory.

I'm having this problem since the last update, Using the load primary grenade option pulling the pin and cooking it for 3 seconds then trowing the grenade to having to wait 4-5 more seconds for it to go off.
After using it this way since the beta, I decide to switch to the quick trow last night and let's just say that i ended up TKing a lot of good players.

I always use the equip nade first and pull the pin option. Dont even know if its possible to cook with quick throw

Yes its possible I only use quick throw because it works perfectly.. I only pull out a nade with intention of throwing that moment.. not equip.. think about it..then put it back or wait maybe throw it lol..Desisive play wins..and quick throw is ideal for that

Hmmm.....never tried quick throw. I always thought that it would just throw it without cooking. I'm feeling a little dumb right now.

Yes. Nades don't seem to be consistent especially when cooking. I hate to try quick throw because that usually results in bouncing off the wrong part of the wall or a teammates head.

I was also having problems actually cooking a nade and had to keep verifying game cache to get that "pull pin" sound to work again.

yeah am also curious, how do you cook in quick throw exactly?

I also pull a nade only if I wanna throw.. never had the issue of time while doing it, cos you need the cooking time anyways. so 2 clicks at the same time works fine for me.

EDIT: ok found how its done. Just hold the quick throw button and it starts to cook the nade, once you release it, you throw the nade..

I use equip & throw (AAO/2 style ) because I prefer to not hold a keyboard button when cooking. Rather hold my fire button.

I'm forced into using the quick throw so my running nade works :(
