    I believe you go and log into http://www.americasarmy.com/account/settings and click on 'ARMED FORCES AFFILIATION'

    Is there any way for someone that has not had a .mil account to apply? My Son has just finnished 3 tours in iraqi and afghanistan and We have his dd-214 I also served with the 82nd Airborn I have our dd-214's Any thin i can do or a place i can send them a .pdf of them? Or point us in the correct direction.

    He just needs to apply for the tag on his profile page.
    We have ways to verify without a .mil address

    You could try that, it wouldn't hurt to mention that the link is missing. I can't find it either.

    login to account at americasarmy.com, from soldier name at top-right select 'my account', left side of screen is a link 'armed forces affiliation'

    My understanding is that the AFA link only works for people with an active military email account. You click the link and then enter the email address.

    I'm trying to find out how veterans (without a military email address) gain their badge.

    I assume you just need to add ANY of your email addresses in that link just for correspondence.

    Gee, thanks, Bear_82. That's some really useful information, man. If only I could read! I would've seen it for myself! It's the genius of you forum scrubs who can copy/paste/quote things that make the whole community so much better. What would the rest of us idiots do without your knowledge, experience, and expertise?
