    i have 0 sympathy for all you punks who ignored the opt-in, and are having great troubles adjusting, and finding out right EQ levels for audio, and how to optimized and adapt to the game, you had A LOT OF TIME, AND AN AWFUL LOT OF WARNING, bunch of ignorant 5 year olds, grow up <--- and thats coming from me!

    EDIT: BTW there are SIMPLE EQ tweaks and other things you can do to make footsteps better and gun audio better, colts has probably made some posts along the line regarding this - i'd love to help you all, but you all failed to help yourselves first, and when we wanted more players in the opt-in you all continued to play the old game even knowing it would be gone soon, and with the attitudes coming from you guys you deserve it, bunch of spoiled rotten brats " I WANT CANDY!!!,, WAH WAHH CRY CRY, I DIDNT GET MY CANDY RIGHT AWAY"

    I wish i could like this multiple times.

    BTW All of the people complaining fail to realize this isn't a finished game. If you remember aa2 it evolved over a number of years. this isn't call of duty where they come out with a brand new game every 6 months. the release is the best the game has been and i still fail to see where all these sound problems are. play it for awhile and get used to it then come on here and give CONSTRUCTED criticism not whawhawhahwah game broke fix it.

    I know enough to know that running nades is an issue that predates, AAPG, AA3, and AA2, it goes back to the initial core of the game code, and how it interacts with unreal engine, and i believe it's an issue that can't be completely resolved unless it's different with UE3 vs UE2.. if you think that's annoying you use to be able to duplicate weapons, have infinite mag's and ammo, have infinite M203 shells, sprint fire, fire while moving up ladders, the list goes on.. I know enough to know the entire process from 1.0 - 3 and beyond, so thats why people with your attitude don't help you're only feeding a negative cycle. Try make things better, maybe the devs will feel better and have to spend less time responding to ignorant people like you, and more time to fix the things you complain about

    Last time I checked the recoil was actually increased from the open beta. It was adjusted a few times during the opt-ins but ultimately I believe the recoil was increased, for the M4 anyways. I'm not sure what gun you are referring to but you should TECHNICALLY have higher recoil (unless they changed it again in the full release, which i doubt).

    I'm not sure if anyone ever reported that sprinting bug, I was told that you are unable to do it the same way it was done in the open beta. If you know how to do it then report it with step by step instructions, or show me and I'll report it. I reported run nade and it seems to be fixed.

    the compass overlay seems to be an ongoing debate on the forums, I never got involved because I don't see the problem.

    Recoil may be higher than the open beta, but it is still completely viable to just hold down the trigger and spray
    even at long distances. Its silly.

    I have reported the sprint bug multiple times including video from my perspective and a third person perspective. The bug can be accomplished in the exact same way it could well over a year ago when viral first posted the video of me doing it. They never addressed the bug. They only changed player collision, making it take a few more tries to accomplish the bug. It did nothing to address the actual problem.

    I just don't see why they did the compass change. It did nothing but make the compass stand out less.

    Yeah, wish I could go back...

    Gun sounds are terrible, sounds like we are shooting BB guns now...
    The removal of smoke is bad, now we have to take sniper fire and get shot from long range...
    Game now feels like it's closer to being another Call of Duty clone...

    Haven't seen anyone bother to use it in game yet...

    I prefer carrying FOGs over flashes every time I'm on assault. It's not at all useless and I've seen others using them too.

    I'm curious about whats so great about the gameplay in comparison with the open beta.
    The sound alone makes it worse by a mile. But I'll forget that for a minute.
    Revives and secures are still there, 3d spotting is still there, supported is virtually the same, vault is as broken as ever, hold breath is still there, recoil is still too random, reloading while sprinting still there, grenades that even though are supposedly weaker still require no precision and clear rooms with ease, etc..
    This is an honest question, what changed that is so much better than open beta?

    Gameplay is virtually the same. That's why people whining about the switch is funny. People need to remove their sound tweaks and start at zero. The sound is fine if setup properly.

    Not in any particular order, but here are my 2 cents so far.

    1. No more smoke. I don't really like the fogs. I always used smoke.
    2. Friends list tab has been removed from server list and steam wouldn't let me join a buddy in game via steam.
    3. Clock freezes when you hold down tab in game. The seconds freeze at least. Not a big deal, but the beta kept keeping time.
    4. The UI seems so cluttered and the text seems too small.
    5. Sound is horrible + a few times my mic quit working and I wasn't the only one it happened to.
    6. Not digging the removal of showing the pings. Without opening up a can of worms, it is my opinion that anyone over 150 ping did lag the server & myself.
    7. The Army Veteran tag is now some weird green color with a yellow V. I wish it looked different.
    8. Changing the maps to rusty looking junkyards was a bad decision. Why didn't they just add those maps as extras, and still keep the original ones?

    1) You people all talk as if the devs don't listen to YOU. Well they can't because there is no agreement on anything. Think about this for a moment -- a month ago the forum was FILLED with people complaining that they are taking too long to release the game and that the Opt-in is far superior and they should just move everyone over instead of waiting. Now the forum is filled with the reverse. How can the devs listen to YOU when YOU have no consensus.

    2) Overall the game has made substantial improvements.

    So how about some actual useful comments of which is this entire thread currently has none:

    3) What the devs screwed up the most is blowing up the ability to publish maps. That was real screw up that they need to fix right away and I trust they will.

    4) After that, the biggest problem is marketing, of which the AAPG team has virtually none of. The release went pretty much unnoticed on Steam. No email campaigns were sent....I'm hoping they still will, maybe after a quick bug-fix patch?

    5) Obviously some bugs will crop up after a new release. Bunch of fools, all of you for thinking otherwise. Devs should release a quick fix in the next couple days for highest priority bugs. Then they should take 2-3 weeks for fixing secondary bugs and release another patch.

    BUT you know whats sad? All of this here is pointless. Its the same story that was written here during the testing and virtually nothing was done about it. Sound still sucks and it will not be reverted back. I mean, i would love to play it again but i literally get a headache now.
