Steam is going to feature us for a week in a few categories, and we'll be listed in the recently updated games as well.
The game wasn't made exactly to my specifications, so I feel it's broken.

What sort of things can we expect to happen? you guys said the opt-in is basically the game were going to be playing on release.. will we just get a few mb auto update on steam and the game simply loses the beta tag? or are we getting any updates/bugfixing to the game too?

Any chance for some release notes?

The final update should be automatic.
We'll probably have a wipe tomorrow and another wipe Thursday morning, and then a release.
There will probably be a little down time in the mix as well.
I'll have the full details up tomorrow on that.

We have plenty of bug fixes, and a changelog will go up with the release.

Did I miss something? The game is out? Well, alright, that's cool.

I think after this long you call it AA5 and leave 4 alone.

I still disagree with calling the game AAPG. Should have just made it AA4 or something. Also think that the game needed a bit more polishing before release. Either way, I certainly hope it goes well.

As far as I know, you'll get a Steam update, so the old version simply will be gone.
Theory and reality are not that different. In theory.

I'm assuming it will get overwritten on your PC with the full version, so you do this as the new version downloads..

Please change the name. Last thing we need is some one searching for AAPG and gets a 2 year old video.

America's Army: Pwning Grunts. Will definitely check out the release version. I'm curious how this will turn out regarding active player numbers/reviews etc...

If I'm on the Opt-In do I need to revert back to Open Beta for the Final Release or will it do it automatically?
Will there be a difference in download size for updating the open beta vs. the opt-in?

Isn't that how betas work? You play it while it's constantly evolving and at some points devs release their finished product as an "update" of the most recent beta version.
