During steam update, getting error "disk read error"

Hi,

Steam wants to update my AA3:PG install but gives error at the end of it "disk read error"
Log files tell me that he cannot move the file "pbsbk.dat" from a location what could be right because...it's not there.
Because this is a Punkbuster file, I reinstalled punkbuster but that didn't help.
Anybody an idea what could be the solution?
