My game has been crashing a lot at random and freezing at times. I have crashed about 10 times and froze 2-3 times. A couple hours ago I froze so I hit control alt delete, then I try to get back in game and the game shows crashed but everything is running really slow and my sound is sometimes skipping. I then hear someone say in VOIP, "haha you guys are screwed now, colts left." but if I am out of the server how I am still hearing this? I couldn't get my computer to respond fast enough for me so I held the power button till the PC shut off. I know of a few other players having issues with crashing not sure about freezing I don't think they all play as much as me.
My specs.
Intel i5 3570k
msi gtx 670 power edition
16gb ddr3 1866mhz
1000w rosewill lightning series (so its not my psu not being strong enough or dying, It has yet to happen in any other game so I know it's not that.)
msi z77a g45 thunderbolt
xfi titanium hd
um not sure what other specs you might need that could cause issues perhaps.

As far as the crashes, I would recommend a few minor steps and then see if they continue:
1) delete your config files, returning them to default values
2) "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" in steam
Bad config files and corrupt game files seem to be the two biggest reoccurrences for crashing.
LETS GO PENS
.\Documents\My Games\America's Army Proving Grounds
,\Steam\SteamApps\common\America's Army
Why so many locations to store different parts of what the game uses.. is this something needed? can they not be consolidated somehow into just game install location?

Not sure.. But I doubt it does.. I thought the game itself generates them folders when you first run it? I'd uninstall to test but man.. Its a pain

For those interested. Deleting local content from steam removes everything from .\steam\steamapps\common\America's Army
However, it leaves both the documents folders in tact. I just deleted the .\documents\America's Army folder and verified through steam (folder date of 11/2014, other i deleted with the clean opt in install). Will see if that makes a difference in the crashing and report back.

I just put a nail in my own coffin to ever get a beta invite, quoted myself for epic fail
edit: nope just crashed again mid shot

Regarding my crashing, I dialed back my memory and haven't had a crash since. On another note, yesterday on inner I watched my FPS dip into the 20's. GTX 770, that just seems crazy. Admittedly, it was a private server that may have been run out of someone's basement and was set to SSHD, so who knows if it was actually my PC or just a bad server with bad settings.
