Screenfreeze before flashbang explosion

=FrAG=RinatB=FrAG=RinatB Posts: 2Player
I've updated my PC a week ago to the Win 10 OS(10240 build). Same time i've installed the Catalyst 15.7. Now i get a screenfreeze for avg 1 second if i'm able to see directly into a flashbang explosion (in a range of 5 meter or less). But the freeze occurs a few milliseconds before the flashbang explodes. After 1 second i'm able to play again, till the next flashbang explodes.
The graphics card and CPU don't reduce his clocks while this screenfreeze.

I've suspected the catalyst 15.7 and waited for the official win 10 release and the new catalyst 15.7.1. But the new driver didn't solve the problem. reinstalling (uninstall, then wipe registry, afterwards install again) the driver doesn't affect anything.
Does anybody else have these lag/freeze problem after upgarding to win 10 in connection with an AMD graphics card.

my system:
Intel i5-3570k@3.8GHz (watercooled)
4x4GB DDR3-1600MHz
Asus P8Z77-V Board (with current available win10 drivers)
AMD Radeon 7970GHz Edition (watercooled, Catalyst 15.7.1 driver)
Creative X-Fi Titanium (with Beta PAX win10 driver)

So it seems the issue is specific to AMD cards then. Very interesting. We will look into this.
The game wasn't made exactly to my specifications, so I feel it's broken.

I'm sure Dev Philbax will want some specific details. I'll post Monday once I talk to him about this.

Not only that, it's all the same card, based on the responses above. HD7970 and R9 280x are equal in terms of hardware.

Tots, a bit OT but it may be helpful if we could get a "rig" or "hardware setup" option for the forums. Especially with narrowing down issues to hardware specific stuff such as this. It would be nice to be able to enter hardware details such as processor, graphics card, etc into our AA forums profiles.
    - Something similar to this(random profile i pulled from overclockers):

I think I can work something like this into the profile page, I'll check.

A summary below the user's posts, like a signature but with hardware summary would be what im thinking of, ive seen it on a computer geeky forum before but cant remember which one. I'd love to see this implemented though.

Yeah I know what you mean, but that would clog up normal threads really quickly.

If we put it on the profile it would be just 1 click away for anyone who wanted / needed to know your rig. That seems like a better fit for here to me.

Hey, I'm just spit balling, however you implement it is your choice in the end Tots :P Your the one writting the code lol
You do have a point though, definitely makes for crowded threads, etc. didn't really think that far ahead, but that's why you have a nice shiny DEV badge and I don't XD

Wouldn't be too bad if you choose System specs overs signature can't have both, but also on your profile as well. I wouldn't mind having no signature and system specs there instead.
Pie charts + Graphs= Very Bad.

Honestly it seems like AMD players have always had problems with this game, if you read through the forums even just glancing you'll see this is a common trend... Maybe an engine issue. Could be terrible driver support/hardware instruction coding. AMD doesn't have the best history with games in general... Just my .02

Actually now that I thought about it. The r9 series is dual gpu cards isn't it? This game and sli don't usually get along from what Ive heard. Most people disable sli/crossfire just to get the game to run, but with a dual gpu card you really don't have that option.

For those who don't know the R9 cards(and any dual gpu card for that matter) use a mix of shared on-board memory and a slightly altered Crossfire/SLI protocol. Which is essentially having two separate cards but in one pci-e slot. So you will run into the same problems as using dual cards and SLI/Crossfire bridges.

No, those R9s listed in this topic are all single GPU cards. I think it's just a driver issue.

The microstutter I had on Win8.1 and 10 is however different issue since I had it with both AMD and NV cards and with both AMD and intel CPUs ;).
