That's because you attempted to hijack a custom solution tailored to the original poster by posting "me too". If you don't have the same PC and exactly the same problem, there's no guarantee that any of what I've posted here will work for you. Nothing about game support is cookie cutter past the initial direction, sometimes the standard fixes don't work and we have to dig deep for a solution., Please start your own thread while stating the EXACT problem.
This is exactly why I focused on the Killer NIC being the problem, plus it's a common problem. People buy the card for the hype, only to find out that it interferes with basic network functions.
The driver disk likely does not contain the driver only. The only thing that separates the killer NIC from a conventional NIC is the network manager, which of course messes with a lot of games while yielding dubious network improvements. Many routers can already prioritize traffic by port, allowing you to give your gaming PC priority while keeping your family member's downloads from messing with your gaming traffic.
Are you sure that the driver only install warning isn't just an alert that you can bypass?

You may also need to run a registry cleaner, or at least an uninstall cleaner, this recommendation comes without warrantee and you do so at your own risk as these tools are normally trouble free, but can cause problems in rare situation.
