recently I watched an old aa2 match recording.. and I was genuinely shocked how we enjoyed that game so much for such a long time.

Guess they must have done something right with that immersive game play..

btw I felt the same when I rewatched E.T with my daughter. She was not so much impressed as we were as kids.

Not ashamed to admit, I cried a few times watching E.T as a child, mainly on the first time

As for AA2 today.. Would be like going back and playing Goldeneye, in that it was epic when it was in its glory days, but the future has trumped it, even though that don't change peoples initial feelings for it at the time when it was their favourite thing in the whole wide world :)

To me Bridge is still better than Red line, coldfront.slums, the problem was in the beginning , every gun had zoom optics,if the smokes were functional with one M24 no Marksman and maybe one Ar and no flag, just crossing ,that map is not that bad.

The issue with bridge IMO is different view range depending on graphic settings. I know for a fact that in AA3 it was rather common to use some program/driver settings to get an advantage over others.

If we can sprint indefinitely, we should be able to hold our breath indefinitely, right? Sprint isn't just running, it's running really hard (duh), and somehow we can do that indefinitely?

Sprinting indefinitely is suicide in this game anyway. Who constantly sprints? not possible if you want to kill someone. It's just a fast way to get yourself killed

If that's something you do as a player, sprint around indefinitely.. then that's the problem. Your doing it wrong.

It's a fact that we can't have nice things because of these known facts.

Remember when the Devs entertained night time set maps with cool Nightvision? we all got excited about that right? then.. people came here saying.. "Hey I raised my gamma and I can see in the dark".. Literally spoilt them for everyone, now we will never get another official night set map.

    -Working CEM
    -Breathing Cycle
-Inability to sprint+reload (or at least slows down reload time)
    -Map specific load outs
-Injury penalties to movement speed (doesn't have to be as harsh as AA2)
    -Medic system for living players

    Get it done Devs.

Scopes: IMO, one of the bigger improvements in AA3, albeit to little to late, was the ACOG 2x. Scopes all felt very balanced. Made bridge, let alone every other map, more fun. It bridged the gap between the 4x on the DMR and the Aimpoint perfectly without taking too much magic away from the DMR OR the aimpoint. With the current flaws in weapon mechanics, I don't think it would be as big of an improvement (if one at all) yet.

Night vision: I was excited for the night vision, but it bombed. Less because of exploitation of graphical flaws, and more because of implementation/map failure. I want maps where you would HAVE to use night vision. Not necessarily for all of it, but maybe certain parts. And maybe there should be different focus presets or bind focus to the mouse wheel or something. I'd bet the $65k NVGs the SEALs use aren't that blurry. :3

One more little thing, AA3 automatically made you enter tactical mode when you scoped up and pulled you out when you weren't. I think that would make a world of sense in PG. Also the M24's bipod.

    Me to. :D
Anyway, I almost always agree with what .shhfiftyfive- has to says has he is one of the best constructive critics of this game, It is just to bad the Dev's don't listen to him. :o

I had great hopes when the beta of AA:PG started, a very long time ago, but now it feels like the game is going in circle and not getting anywhere.

For now I am going to play some Battlefront (Alpha I might add), and the full game will probably be release before this one. :'(

By the way Dev's if you want to hear some great sound, you should try some Battlefront.

sigh, might as well go CS:GO or COD AW comp!

one reason why this game is sucking at the moment, the Developers and beta testers take advice from people who don't play the game much or anymore, yet don't from people who litreally play or play every day! That's a easy answer to more than half of this AA mess, AA2 was the best, leave it at that, AA3 was a major fail, AA4 is breaking due to slow releasing and that's due to my first reason!

Tend to agree Ommy. The current devs seem more interested in turning AA into a clone of COD and the likes than keeping what made the game successful in the first place. As far as the beta guys, I have met a few who had the same opinion, but the devs dont listen to them either......

Nobody listens to nobody on these forums, its either a debate, an argument, a troll, sometimes we see a support request for something nobody ever seems to know how to fix.. or its dead and there's nothing at all.

Now and again BCPull posts a good thread.. what we can all genuinely like, they are something to look forward to, or sit back and be entertained by everyone else (10-15 people) ranting and raving about the game

What I find hard to understand is how come after all this time devs can't make a functional smoke nade and good sound and they release updates with new paint jobs or walls more dirtier,if I was one of the devs(and I know I'm not)I would not rest until this two major problems were fixed and then start to work on pretty things,I was very disappointed.

yeah, I'm not sure where the Devs are getting their priorities from sometimes. Taxpayer money funds the game; I seldom forget that. Not that they don't also do some good work, though.
