Naming Policy:

We want America's Army to be a safe and fun space for everyone. America's Army is played by people from different countries around the world. People may disagree about what names are offensive, and a name that is not offensive to you may be very offensive to another player. When creating America's Army soldier names, clan tags, server names, etc. you are encouraged to select names that reflect the theme of the game. The guidelines listed below outline the types of names that you may NOT use, and apply to soldier names, clan tags, server names, etc.

We do not permit names that:
  1. Have offensive racial, ethnic, national, or cultural connotations
  2. Include hate speech or bigoted slurs
  3. Reference sexual acts or real-life violence
  4. Are pornographic
  5. Make inappropriate references to human anatomy or bodily functions
  6. Reference illegal drugs or activities
  7. Reference religious or historical figures
  8. Reference real-life people
  9. Reference names of copyrighted or trademarked characters, materials, or products
  10. Use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that violate any of the above rules
  11. Impersonate Admins, Dev team members, other members of the Army staff, or use fraudulent identification. This includes close spellings intended to deceive other users.

For issues related to soldier names, clan tags, server names, etc., the Support Team will designate the appropriate action to be taken on the part of the player to amend the unacceptable name.

This policy may not cover all inappropriate or disallowed names. Army Game Studio reserves the right to reject any name it concludes, in its sole and absolute discretion, is indecent, obscene, offensive, or that otherwise violates our naming policy or the America's Army User Agreement. Army Game Studio reserves the right to examine names on a case-by-case basis and take whatever action we deem necessary in our sole and absolute discretion. We reserve the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this America's Army Naming Policy at any time.

Support staff generally will take action only when the name violates this policy.

Please note that all name changes must also conform to this Naming Policy and that any name is subject to review and a possible ban placed on the America's Army account if it is in breach of this policy.
