The next AA:PG update is incoming for PlayStation and PC! New weapon skins, a revamped and polished Reaction map, updated map rotation and vote widget, various bug fixes, and more! In preparation, we want to brief you on new login requirement changes so you know what to expect. Look to the full list of notes when the update is released.

New Login Requirements Brief:
Whether you are a new recruit in AA:PG or a veteran player, you will need to go through the new login requirements to register your account for your initial game launch after the update.

Register Your Account
We've updated our Privacy and Security Notice. You'll need to read through the on-screen prompts carefully to successfully register your account and log in. Note: In order to play AA:PG online, track stats, and unlock content, you must enter the requested information and register your account.

Linking External Accounts
You will be prompted to link your external platform account(s) if you have not already done so. By doing this, you will be able to view your stats and achievements on your profile at americasarmy.com, as well as your profile at aastats.com.

Soldier Names
Soldier names displayed in-game will be linked to your ID on both external platforms. PC players previously had the option to change their Soldier Name through their account at americasarmy.com. With the update, Soldier Names on PC will be linked to Steam Profile Names. Don't worry, the option to add Clan Tags on PC is in development!

We look forward to getting this content to you and urge you to stay tuned to our socials for the latest update status!

A very underwhelming update after a huge stretch of silence from AGS. The most promising thing here is linking aastats.com.

I guess it shows that AGS is working on something that's public facing, even if it's like 2 guys in a room working on AAPG updates.

That's a very good point and another positive takeaway from the update. Thanks :)

The update is not released yet and there is no specific date for it. This is just an announcement, that it will come soon(TM).
Theory and reality are not that different. In theory.

I just do not understand - in any way - why you did delete my post about the rollback to previous version aswell as my questions. Do you think this is correct?
The way you move into trouble by updating this game and this now - wow.

You better should inform all in here what is going on now. Not only this hidden part as a tweet. We all are here to inform us about and how it goes on.

    Thank you!

Very disappointing is it possible to do a small update for the new reaction map and add back the name change as it was before.

AGS has zero accountability. That much has been clear since AAPG was public beta. DEVs publicly stated years ago (podcast) that it's a no-pressure environment because it's a free game. Failures have no consequences. DEVs in Discord sarcastically asking when you'd like your refund. The studio need a fire lit under their rear ends. If AAPG is not their primary duty, then fine. But they should be aware that while AAPG may not be their primary duty, it is their most visible (to the public). AGS may not control what their priorities are, but then the Army really fumbles the approach and attitude towards AAPG.

Yeah, i have no problem with the missed update. That can happen for sure. I also love this game since aa2. And its for free, of course it is.

But every, realy every developer or it specialist do know: WHEN IT GOES WRONG, INFORM CORRECT AND QUICK. Then all is not a real problem. But when you start to give priority to this forum to DELETE questions about how it goes, wow

Two things never changed since I was here years ago.. the game itself and peoples attitude toward it

Are the user made skins still in?

If my trollery drives you crazy, you'd better put on your seatbelt.

Let's be honest, AGS was never what anyone would consider a good developer even in the AAO/2 days. Always super secretive, terrible at hitting milestones, etc. We just all excused it because AAO/2 was a fantastic game (even though people complained about it back then as well). However, looking at the (lack of) popularity of AA3 & AAPG, the rest of the gaming community has made clear of what they think of AGS when it comes to their public facing gaming projects. Alas, it seems that the Army itself doesn't care.

People only give effort at criticism after all these years because they still care. Oddly in this situation, it's a good thing. Yep your skins are still around
