How can I play AA:PG offline?

I just want to play AA:PG training offline, but AA:PG doesn't work. How can I play AA:PG offline? When I play AA:PG online, there is a "play offline", but AA:PG doesn't work offline. How can I do it?

It appears that at this time you have to be connected to the internet. Yes, even to just do training. There may be very little data traffic in "offline" mode but the connection has to be there or AAGame.exe will not run.
This has been a pet peeve of mine from the beginning. People who have unlimited internet access do not understand players like myself who have limited data and need to be able to use "offline" mode for practice and testing. I fought long and hard to have this problem corrected only to have it broken with the next patch. I gave up putting in bug reports about this issue as there are few (if any) people left working on AA:PG.
Sorry, I wish I could tell you otherwise but, that's how it is.
