NetWait=60 cant change to 15 sec

Hello,

Under ini file for my server, once I do change
NetWait=15

Then turn on server, it is again NetWait=60

Why? And how to change it?

    Which specific ini filename are you changing, are you saving the changes before the restart and are the files write protected or do you have appropriate privileges?

    Are you editing the right file for the right server instance? Etc.

    Unless the dev's have change it NetWait is hard coded you cannot change it if you was able to change it everyone with a slow connection would not get to play the first round.

    You can definitely change it, we have set ours to NetWait=20
    and it is working as such in game

    NetWait is the pause time at the start of a match for people with various connection speeds and hardware to load up the game and join. You may be thinking of something else, Delton. It definitely should be changeable.

    Why would you want it at 15secs . Everyone has diff specs of pc's. You would have half a server of 24 missing the first round

    It will normally give the same result, as AAGame.ini is generated from DefaultGame.ini but its bad form as it will leave you with a possible corrupt default file and make it a bit harder to restore if anything goes wrong.
    (instead of just deleting the user *.ini files and have the game recreate them you will have to download new default files, then have the game recreate them, not that hard but annoying)

    Like i said in my first post you cannot change it i think its set to 30 default the only one you can change is BeginningOfRoundDelay=12

    rufzor - make sure you're editing the AAGame.ini > NetWait = 15 in the proper server folder or obviously it won't work. In your command line above, it says you server config is in:
    /CONFIGSUBDIR=AAHostAServerConfig-lowping_inner_hostpital_24x7
    

    Delton - I've been editing this param for years, and I know others who do. Default is 60 seconds, which a lot of people find too long a wait.
