From what I understand FreeSync isn't game specific. You apparently just need to make sure your FPS stays within the recommended FreeSync FPS range for your monitor. That can be achieved by using the FPS Limiter in settings and inputting the maximum range for FreeSync to work. Hopefully you also have a video card that's good enough not to dip below the lower limit.
