Plans for robust server setup?

Looking for Dev responses here. Over the last 3+ years, several threads have come and gone regarding the preferred server settings for competitive play. It's clear that as a community of mixed experience and personalities, we have not gained consensus and probably never will. Additionally, the "right" questions were not being asked by those with the ability to make changes to the game. Questions were very generic: What would you like to see...instead of very specific: Should shadows be disabled?

What I'm requesting would be beneficial to the entire server admin community, not specific to the comp community. It's crazy to think that in 2018, someone has to open a text file in order to change basic settings on their server.

Will there ever be plans to allow server admins to manage very specific server settings via the in-game console? Some things to consider:

Time:
Round Length
Seconds between Rounds
Seconds between Halves/Side Swaps
Seconds before Match Start

Enable/Disable:
Shadows
In-World Enemy Spots
Supported Position

Customize:
Weapon Load-outs

    I agree on this, having to change everything in the ini's and then restarting is something from the 90's. It would be really good if we had something like we could in promod, there we had the option by giving in the in-game console to pick a type of rule set. If we wanted the server to run public, just type command, if we wanted comp settings just give the comp command. I think we can benefit for a system like that.

    Also like your idea of changing loadouts server side, right now we can unlock all weapons or use the settings that comes with the maps. I love to see some more freedome in that, having the ability to disable type of weapons, disable types of scopes and being able to disable types of nades.

    Just hope the developers start seeing our views instead of ignoring their players.

    I want console commands to be a thing of the past for server admins as well though Zona.

    I like your idea of setting up the server, saving it as a customizable preset....name it whatever you want Make those presets a drop-down menu inside the Server Options tab inside Admin Console.

    Press F1 -> Admin Options -> Server Options

    What about the ability to restart a round? This would be a very beneficial to competitive play. It's been asked for several times

    open console make sure your signed in as admin then type
    adminrestartround and your done =)

    I'm not sure that one's beneficial in this scenario.

    Let's say we're playing a clan match and it's 4-4, best of 15 rounds. I want to sub out and let someone better take my spot.

    -So we call a timeout and the server admin pauses the match 6 seconds into Round 9.
    -New player joins while round is paused, I leave and new player joins the appropriate team
    -Server admin can then type adminrestartround and Round 9 starts over again with full timer?

    I have not tested it yet but I think the timer starts over again however if you are pausing the round there is no need to restart it.

    Not entirely true, unless a spectating player has the ability to join the "round" while it's paused..which I do not think is the case
