Palm trees won't save into map
I don't like the Sandstorm palm trees because of the lighting issue built into them. I DO like the Rusneyev ones though. I tried popping them into my map but now the map won't save.

I mean...it's right there in the editor! Why is this considered external? Is it maybe baked into the Rusneyev map instead of available for use like all the other meshes?

They never split the map into upk files. They are imbedded in the map, so you won't be able to use them without extracting them. If you still need them, let me know and I'll look for them for you.
P.s I might even have some newer once I was working on. I think I have few different variants complete.

I have the ripped assets now thanks to Lobo, but I'm still not sure how the UVs map one leaf texture onto all the leaves,
Is that how you get "Object Has Overlapping UVs" ?

I think I may have answered my own question but the tree asset isn't obvious what's happening since i'm not sure how the UV is packaged.
If "overlapping mesh" was the answer, we'd get a warning for almost everything we do when we build! Lot's of us stack objects!
