Another year zipping by fast, and I still have computer needs.

My main need at this moment is storage, so I'm looking into this harddrive from Microcenter for 49.99US.

Sounds like a good buy if others need more basic storage.

is this that sorta thing where you buy yourself something nice? i don't need a holiday for that... but a steam sale or a black friday cyber money sale..

Actually, since I am needing a HD only for storage I think I might just go with a 1TB external Passport or similar. As long as it is USB 3.0 I can live with that. I see they're running at 49.99US also.

It will save me on internal space anyway for the SSD upgrades coming soon.

Under $50 is not a bad deal and most everyone could afford that. Even us old vets who live on 1970's pensions LOL!!!!

I picked up the 1TB Seagate Expansion drive from Microcenter for $49.99. Now my internal harddrives can breath a bit more. The USB 3.0 transfers a 4.47GB file in about 60+ seconds. Just FYI.

Next up is probably a Blu-ray burner. I'm seeing prices at $56.99 for LG internals. I'll probably go external on that one too but then this would be a Birthday idea....

Ordered today a 4 TB WD green, since i'm running out of storage space at the end of every month.Gona rearrange my 2 x 1 TB WD blacks in raid zero for faster movie editing and keep my 256 gb Samsung Pro 850 SSD for system/programs and games only. Also thinking about getting a Western Digital My Cloud 4TB to store movies and series on it so i can watch everything from every TV and device at home.

It's great. I remember buying my Samsung 840 pro 256GB at $199 over a year ago over A SUPER DUPER SALE. I think now they are regularly priced below that.
