Was 3D Spotting Removed?

Haven't played in a while and now I noticed that when spotting the enemy they only show up on the mini map and not in 3D... Was 3D spotting removed from the game?

    Some pub servers have it disabled. Otherwise it spot the enemy in place for a few seconds. It no longer follows them around.
