Problems with setting objectives - not working like they should

I'm posting this on behalf of the author - SMUGGLER.

SMUGGLER has been creating some really nice maps, however he has been having some problems with objectives not working properly. Given the quality of the maps, I thought I would post this up so he could get a little bit of help from some of the more active mappers, betas and devs.

I'll give SMUGGLER this link so he knows where I started it. I have no clue about the map editor at all so I can't help him beyond this.

    set objective template to VIP on The Grinder map.
    Then check all other maps are set to the right objective for the map.

    VIP on grinder works sweet. My understanding is flag objectives are his main problem. One map has a bomb objective that seems to be working.

    When I checked for map errors on flag objectives I get this..
    could not find ground position for pylon-this pylon will not build paths.. Maybe fix this and then try it.

    So, hello guys, thats how it is : i use to take an empty map from Basic Editor, save it, open it in advanced then i do my work, before some update any obj was working, (i have c4, flag etc.) but not now.The only one that works without doing any settings is VIP. Muzza checked my Dam 1 map, we fixed together the pylons there, stil could not extract. I made a map with trenches with obj. Destroy , u can set the bomb but after explosion game does not end. Weird is that in Basic Editor the obj. is set by mission flow-still not working, tried to check other umms for setting but nothing . U need to know lol im not the big computer specialist :)

    @ delton, is this wolverines setup ? i tried to do it, no results, it my be an older version of the editor , before the latest updates, before i was able to copy paste sound too.

    I had a look at your setting for c4 in AA4 you can find that on left side bottom of editor and you set it wrong get another c4 official map and set it the same from there...

    some stuff is bugged in stock maps , check , your mission flow , then change out your objectives from the editor ,also may have to change spawns , seen them bugged as well

    I am on the case . Spent all last night trying and failed . Have said to smuggler I will paste his map out into one of my functioning maps to see then if solves it .

    I also have copies of small editor maps basic and none of them win round . So I guess they are all bugged apart from vip.

    And now, my basic editor is crashing too, again, so i cant even open a VIP map lol. Uninstalled aapg, try my luck with a new download. Last time helped only a new windows :(

    I'll probably end up bugging this after having an attempt myself, following wolverines tutorials. Mission flow seems to be broken. Just waiting for input from a couple of others first.

    If your testing it in editor you will not win round its bugged you need to add to server to give it a real test..

    playing in single player after publish will show if obj work ,

    personally ive not had this problem with obj , as i pull them from actor class,
    basics of obj , team settings, mission flow set up , game type set in world properties ,( game veteran /take & hold etc ,) and obj type in world info ,

    Yeah had this confirmed by some others. Seems to be the problem!

    Edit: Did indeed work after publishing and playing in single player.

    I open a blank map, put some floor, i can set the objectives, spawns etc. all working fine. I tried to do the same stuff on a older map of mine, obj. not working. Any suggestions :) ?

    How much "older" are the maps? If they are REALLY old, there were version changes in the editor that may affect things.
