built a pc today so heres the specs

Corsair carbide mid tower.

Asus tuf1151 tut mk1 z270 motherboard.

Asus turbo gtx 1060-6gb graphics.

Asus optical drive.

Asus vs2448hr 24 inch monitor,full HD @1080p 1ms.

Corsair vengeance 32gb ram @ 3200mhz.

I7 skylake 4 core 8 thread each @ 4ghz.

Corsair h45 liquid cooler.

Egva 650 psu .

Logitech g213 prodigy keyboard.

Already had ssd and HD.

HDMI cable and a new power surge plug,all came in at 1300 pound.

sorry for my ignorance but about how much did it cost(average)?

I was told by a friend that you only need around 8gb ram for video games, why 32?

8gb is fine for gaming, although I do believe game developers recommend 16gb these days, for some of the new titles?

32gb of RAM will help immensely with map making, multitasking etc.

ok guys heres the upshot of the build .
i loaded my editor and put my cooperscove on it from workshop content and done a build all. lighting n stuff .
record time hooah 3 mins 1 second completed

Is it your first PC build Muzza? how did it go? easier/harder than you thought it would be?

I remember building my first PC, was a great experience! granted wires were everywhere, but back then there wasn't as much emphasis put on cooling, or even cases with transparent side panels

Went well m8 . Nothing out of ordinary apart from taking motherboard back out for the backing plate for the cooling block. Built a rig for my son last year and had built one when I was out in cyprus few years ago . My job is vehicle body technician so used to some tech small stuff .

Roger that Muzza, I tried copperstown a month or so ago, I like the feel of the map, just a few noise issues and the helicopter ect, I dont play 2 many umm maps but I will subscribe and try out the other ones ...its hard to get people on those type of maps beerme server and a few others that play them... btw It was Danny on ts one day the one that told me that you make Maps I had no idea before he told me im so dumb lol

I think the heli sound got fixed m8 . It was doubling up each time round ended.
Cooperscove is brutal and immersive like a battleground . Still updating when I can .
