Has the m4 sounds changed singe the game's full release?

I want to get back in the game but the m4 sound effects were literally the reason i quit when the game released, is it any different now? If not, will it ever change?

This game is literally the best shooter i've played, but the sound just irritates me, it sounds like a 1-sec loop and it just feels like that's what it would sound like if your game crashed while someone was firing.

I have not noticed a diff in the sound myself. Last that I know of they will not change. The might have changed since you have played but I personally find quality in sound in quality of your headset. I have had 3 headsets in the last 5 years and the best sound I get is out of my Razor headset. I am not sure if its because it is surround or if its because Razor has their own software where you can adjust the lvls and bass. I know if I set it to techno I can hear players run or walk on the other side of the map with no confusion.
