New map I finished is bdx style no copy this time.. just started laying out some paths and went from there...

Got a few guys and did a Pug on the map to test the gameplay.. here is the video

Seems to be focused on centrally located map action, nicely balanced, no overdone hidey places, w/multiple routes and the asset/cover placement looks good.. prime for spam nades I guess but then what map isn't? looks a perfect BDX style and sized map.. nice work Doba.

Thanks for the video too, it's never the same running around these maps offline alone. Gotta say, seeing the map in action with players makes it far better to digest and judge.

This is the basic thoughts behind mapping out routes.. that is the hardest part.. I've already started on another map and have deleted two started maps because they simply weren't "mapping" out as well as they should be.

Gotta get lucky I guess and picture it playing out well and going with it.. if I dont I delete and start over

Balance, routes, limited hiding places with just enough detail to make it look good but so you cant use it for cover.. thats pretty much it.

I do like this map the way it played out in the pugs, and having guys on your friends list who are ready to pug at will is a good thing.

Its a distraction mechanism, give them something to focus on and they forget the negative aspects of the map.

AA does this with the entire game

Just wondering why my server says "Version Mismatch" when I try to play my map when nothing was changed .. and even IF, its supposed to auto update as the ID number is the same.. confused

For the heck of it, I took the map off the server, then did a restart, then went into my map made a change and republished.. went ahead and reloaded map onto my server.. still mismatch version error.. I unsubscribed from the map then subscribed again.. still

That's what we been getting all week m8 and still no go

Sounds like server is not updating last update on your map.
Try putting a official map on and playing for a while before switching maps.

My map is fixed and on server now . Check all your landscape packages and world info m8 . I deleted all with landscape and used terrain .
