Is reporting worth it?

Played some games yesterday and was wondering if there is something done if I report people teamkilling. I know we have the jail now but people are smart enough to know the limits to not go there. Some people just kill you once a match, some people just keep shooting your feet trying to provoke shooting back. Is there even suitable punishment for that kind of behaviour? I'm talking offcial servers obviously.

Well, if you dont report them the chance for some kind of reaction is zero.

Official server needs a serious thinking again! How come 24 people are playing peacefully a map that isn't innerhospital, and then at the 7th vote attempt to switch map, the new players probably decided to vote yes and the match is instantly switched to innerhospital at the midle of a ROUND! I didn't count but probably 50% of the populated servers are inner, and this non sense people come to the few servers who are not inner only, to make it inner only... wow.
About the griefers, so you don't want to have vote option enable, at least enable it for people who got a teamkill. I'm banned more than half of the private servers in EU, come to a official server that lags like [TOS Violation] for me, plus find a griefer to make the experience even better and we can't kick him. To make things better he can vote to insta change the map, because he feels like it.

Well, I'm wondering if there is gonna be any reaction at all. I can't really think of any suitable punishment one would get for teamkilling. Not like it's banworthy if it's a one time occasion. I'm not playing enough to have the same people doing it but last few sessions I played I got teamkilled multiple times and it's getting annoying. I reported a clan once for doing it over a period of a few weeks because it seemed reasonable to me but random individuals?

Yeah, that map vote was probably more annoying than getting teamkilled. Multiple people complaining about it in voice, some even left. I don't really see the point in having the immediate map change vote if the server is populated and maybe inner should be removed from the votable maps. Having it in the vote at match end should be enough, there are enough 24/7 inner servers.

Report won't do anything and I'll explain why. A guy who had been griefing a old friend of mine for months, got recorded in a video and got reported. He eventually got banned from official servers for a few days, max weeks. However when he came back he was doing the same, and now it is doing to me also.
But reporting and waiting for an Developer answer is already to late. The experience in that time got ruined anyways. We need an alternate option, in-game. People who have teamkilled should be able to be kicked, maps shouldnt be changed at the midle of another map. Scramble should be removed because it doesnt even scramble properly.

It may take care of them in the long run, but very rarely will it do anything in the short run...Which, for trolls, is all they care about. One person can ruin a whole server and no one is going to get there in a timely manner to stop them.

Well, it's not about trolls in this case. It's about people feeling entitled to enforce their self justice teamkilling cheaters. Trolls will do it to everyone and repeatedly, I'd be very confident with reporting that kind of behaviour and expecting proper punishment. My case is some random people I've never seen before and probably will never see again, still they are ruining my experience for that evening. For the last few months I played once every 1-2 months and there was always someone feeling the need to teamkill me for cheating. It's both new and experienced players (rank-wise) and I really don't want them to get away with it anymore.

Play on the bdx only official servers(they're generally populated by at least a couple comp players that will try and stick up for you/silence the rude people if there are any) and the clan servers that have comp teams(ofb, FC, 3rdID are some examples, all having admins that don't go for accusations), you'll generally be ok. USA clan seems to be very reasonable when it comes to comp players as well, Danny and his other admins are good people and don't stand for people just shouting cheater. There's Gmaster's funhouse as well that's a mostly 6v6 only and is run very well.

The divide between comp players and pub players is insane in this game. [TOS Violation], even if you're just a pubber that's pretty good, you're labeled some not so nice things as well.

I have no idea why the community is the way it is, or what(if anything) could be done about it from the dev's standpoint, but it certainly does get irritating.

Well, some people enjoy FLO over BDX and official FLOs are a mess in that regard. In the countless hours I played I had one guy standing up for me teamkilling the teamkiller. Nice gesture I guess but it ended in him getting teamkilled by some clanmember of that other guy. They did it for two rounds if I recall correctly then left. Way too much trouble caused by that kind of behavior. I'd post a video of that incident but I think that's naming and shaming and thus not allowed. One of the few incidents I reported as a clan was involved but I don't think they ever received any punishment.

Just vote kick them! *But they disabled that boehoe LD*. Open console, type pb_plist see abuser's number on the left and type pb_sv_kick [number] to add a votekick point to that abuser and ask everyone else to do the same that want him gone. Enough votes pb will kick him for +5 min.

PS: with number i don't mean his 8 digit GUID, but the connection number like 1, 2, 3, etc..

It's not real easy to do that. I've tried that route b4 and i don't even know how many points they need to get kicked. Most of the time people won't do it if you ask them anyway.

As far as I know the pb vote goes for both teams so you need more players voting than in the game's system where your team can decide. It's even harder when others are suspecting you as well. Back when votekicks were enabled I was gone in no time, glad people are more considerate with teamkilling than voting others off. The incident that got me into making this thread is in my most recent video, noone cared about him teamkilling, he even got told to teamkill me by an enemy.
