That editor is pretty much a custom UI overlay on top of the actual editor...they basically speak back and forth. There is only one editor, but we see two. That's why it can happen. You've probably found a bug!

Flops, you might have corrupt files in you document folder. Or just maps you played around with for testing purposes. Remove everything from the unpublished folder, create your map then put the maps back.

I'm passing this over to a programmer to look at Flops, hopefully we can get you fixed up asap.
The game wasn't made exactly to my specifications, so I feel it's broken.

Why you need the basic anyways? Can't you set c4 through advanced, or is that broke too?
  • -Flops--Flops- Posts: 354Player
They are both running slow as [TOS Violation] , the full editor seems to get through it but its slow and texturing is screwing up a lot ( terrain texturing ) . and its really not the point . A lot of people use the basic this kind of needs to be fixed asap .

Just tried to create a new map in the Mission Editor. Crashed when I hit "Okay" to create it, after typing a name and description and choosing Take And Hold.

I'll see if the Windows messages in Win7 64 are repeatable.

Well, mine "launches" fine, but as soon as I click OKAY.........it's not okay.

Get a missionEditor.exe crash in KERNELBASE.dll and ntdll.dll each time.

Main editor still seems to work.

I have no clue how to make a map but I manage to place some walls on the ground with the Basic Editor and save it with no issues.
