I seem to recall past info about login details being stored in the registry. Has anybody looked into that troubleshooting path?

Good question.. heres the info needed to try

This assumes you know how to safely go into your windows registry and not mess with anything that might break your PC..

(i.e USE AT YOUR OWN RISK)

To remove your saved username and password from the windows registry (and/or USArmy related registry keys)

On your desktop click on windows start orb and type regedit into either the run function or search bar, open regedit

    navigate to..

    HKEY_current_user > Software > USArmy > AALoader > AALauncher32

All your saved info is stored inside there,

To be on the safe side and so as to not fragment your registry or to avoid the possibility of future problems.. I would simply highlight the USArmy folder, right click on it and choose delete, this will remove the entire tree of saved registry keys and basically remove AA from your registry giving you your sought after thorough clean.

If you've successfully removed all traces of AAPG from the documents location 'after' reinstalling the game, there's no way it can load up your old binds and settings as the game will have generated an entirely fresh, clean and default set of config files. You must be doing it wrong somehow.

To completely remove all traces of the game and associated files (as well as doing the above registry edit), its as simple as uninstaling from steam, then removing your AA folders from my documents and emptying your recycle bin of it.
If my trollery drives you crazy, you'd better put on your seatbelt.

Any progress made, having the same issue ?

I'll try out the registry editing on my spare Windows 10 drive and if it works, I'll post back here My systems are all fresh installs of the OS, so I doubt formatting is going to help me any. lol

I can log in, but once i log in, I only have the following options.... ?
    • My Soldier
    • Training
    • Settings
    • Exit

So it logs me in, with my credentials (Name / Rank) but doesn't let me play... is this related and how to correct?
  • [TOG]Klogz[TOG]Klogz Posts: 7Player
I did the registry edit, it cleared the the populated login ID, however after now manually entering login ID and password the exact same error occurs. I have created an new soldier with a different email address and as soon as I put those details in, same error.

What I've done since, is removed the game from Steam, removed any folder related to the game from Steam and My documents, rebooted the PC and in the process of downloading the game again ( for the third time).

Once this is done I let you know what happened.

Unfortunately it has made no difference, exact same error..... :(

I am also having this problem, and can't find any way to resolve it.

    ?INT?AAGame.HttpStatusMessage.0?

EDIT: Just unticked both boxes (remember login info and automatically log in) and it worked fine, but I presume this won't be able to help me for long.

It can't be that simple, can it?

Well I just checked my Win10 registry and I do not see the folders at all. I'll try leaving the boxes unchecked next...maybe I will get lucky. :)

    EDIT

Well I am able to log in if I don't tick the boxes, but the other issue still persists.

Oh, sorry! The not remembering passwords etc is the other issue. The first issue that I was able to "fix" was the ?INT?AAGame.HttpStatusMessage.0? error. I got around it by leaving the boxes unticked (after a cache check).

Well the issue (?INT?AAGame.HttpStatusMessage.0?) is back and unticking the boxes doesn't seem to help.

Are you able to log in to americasarmy.com using Internet Explorer/Edge? If not, try this:

Go to Start->Control Panel->Internet Options->[Advanced] tab and scroll down to the the [Security] section at the bottom. Make sure at least one of the TLS options are checked (TLS 1.0, 1.1, or 1.2).

Yes, no issues logging in and all TLS options are checked.

I have no problem logging into the website using Explorer, Firefox or Chrome.

I kind of have this issue as well been meaning to post about it for over a month now but couldn't due to the website not letting me log in until today. I kept getting a Request New Token thing everytime I tried to log in the past month since that patch with new outdoor maps.

My main issue is when I launch in windows 10 I get an immediate Splash screen crash program closes at Parental warning ...AAGame.exe has stopped working

You should post your log file here.

Also does that laptop offer any sort of overclocking? If it does, turn off the OC completely and try to relaunch the game. If it doesn't help, please delete the AA:PG folder in My Games (careful here as there may be another AA:PG folder at Document's root) located in your Documents location and then start a file check on your install via Steam (verify cache).

If that doesn't work, navigate to wherever you installed the game to and open this exe as admin:

    AALauncher32.exe
    and
    AAGame.exe

    Any luck?

*last question: did you update any drivers recently?*

Well the day after I posted this I discovered the true bug I believe. I made a new steam account the same week of the last patch since I couldn't log into this one and also made a new AAPG account.

The problem seems to be associated with my original steam account and launching with original AAPG account. With my new steam account it launches original AAPG account fine ( you can do this if you don't check auto login + save login info )- with original steam one it doesn't... it crashes at the launch splash screen.

I can log into my old AAPG account on new steam account no issue.

So the bug is steam side correlated it would seem...
