hi all
i would like to run for each server on same ip a different scrolling text. i did config it and the command to start the server is:

start /MIN /HIGH "AAPG_ClanServer 01" AAGame.exe server FLO_Intercept_C4 /GLOBAL /AuthServerUserName=xxxxx /AuthServerPassword=xxxx /AuthServerIP=92.105.10.38 /STEAMSERVERIP=192.168.1.61 MULTIHOME=192.168.1.61 /NOPAUSE /NOHOMEDIR /CONFIGSUBDIR=AAHostAServerConfig0 /USEPERSERVERPBCONFIG /DISABLEUMM /SAP=7780 /SGSP=7778 /SQP=27015 /INST=1

the server log file has those entries:

at the console, i do see this entries - never ending:

the local ip is 192.168.1.61, the port is 7778.
the messages do not appear, what is wrong?

    any ideas, maybe dev's?

    at server browser, there is this option to use for that ... so should work, or maybe faulty?

    I have not tested this but I'll suggest this... Each server instance requires different PORT values to be assigned if running on the same IP address. My guess is that your PB file names will have to reflect this so that it knows which config file to load per server instance. Your first server instance Primary Port is 7778 and the pb config file name reflects this as x.x.x.x_7778.cfg. Try naming your 2nd server instances pb file name to match the Primary Port it's running under and make sure it's in the right folder.

    thank you for the answer. i did try this, but it is not working. but there are not different folders at the pb folder, only the filename are different with its prim. ports.

    I can confirm that when starting a server instance using the In Game GUI or by launching a server via command line the option of " /USEPERSERVERPBCONFIG " is broken. By using this command line option, PunkBuster is started and running but none of the features of PunkBuster are working like screenshots, scrolling text, etc... The server log indicates there is an error loading the per server config file. My best guess is it's a syntax error in the game code when making the call to the file. I have attached my server log and will file a bug report. So in short, the PER SERVER PBCONFIG file option is broken and does not work. Using separate directories for each server instance is not what this command was intended for so that option / work around does not apply in this case.

    The March 31st Game Update did not fix this issue. The server command line option of " /USEPERSERVERPBCONFIG " is still broken. The server console no longer spams the channel with

    This is exactly what I thought the command " /USEPERSERVERPBCONFIG " was for. Looks like this command line option has been broken for a long time based on the date of the post.

    Can anyone from the DEV team elaborate on what this command is intended to do and an example of how to use it? The idea of not having separate AAPG folders for each server instance would be a tremendous benefit if it could all be controlled with simple config files.

    if you try to use the browser and the setup server part, you could find there the answer. you can select a field where its written something like "select for separate pbsettings per server".

    so it is meant for that i guess. but not working yet :)

    i did that now with the multiple instances as it was described at old forum. but how will the updates work?

    i dont think those instances will get thet update, right? only the one at steam folder will get it i guess.
    and this is not good at all.

    That's correct. You'll have to update them manually. If you notice from the archive article the folder size was 5gb. Now it's almost 10gb per instance. That's just another reason why to have separate config files using a single installation folder.

    I can confirm that the May 5th update fixed the "/USEPERSERVERPBCONFIG" setting option. If you take the contents of your pbsvuser.cfg file and place them into the pbsvgame_ip_address_port.cfg file, the pb config files load separately and work correctly. There is now no need for a pbsvuser.cfg file in the PB folder. This also eliminates the need for separate folders for each server instance.
