How is it fair to have a guy run over to you, go out of his way to help you and the team, only to have you decline his help? (Even if he's wrong in his timing, he's surely not TRYING to get you killed) You should have a DO NOT HEAL sign over your head so he knows to not waste his time ....not a DECLINE feature!

Besides, prohibition, anywhere in life, is never an improvement over responsibility, education or competence.

Stopping someone doesn't solve the core issues.

This refuse idea is going BACKWARDS in teamplay for the sakes of KDR.

But that will withdraw you, no? You need something to still keep you in but not allow someone to pick you up if you feel you're in danger.

Regarding revivals, I still see the accept/deny as the way to go... for starters both parties are involved not just one.. which brings teamplay up a level, the process would be shorter than actually healing someone so even if he denies, both parties have a greater chance of surviving... To speed things up even further you can aware the player via voip that youre coming to revive him and be ready for acceptance... again teamplay level increased.. if implemented correctly it could work..

just like AA3s revive system asked for proper healing method, this one would be similar in a simple accept/deny.

IMO, you just have it as a toggle. Green means OK, Red means No Thanks. Something that players can see on their HUD. It'd be annoying to run over to someone to revive them and then them rejecting when you've already gotten there. If the person is in red mode, I'd know not to run over to him.

that really only works if you are going to go idle. i cant spec my body but i can hear from it when they come to revive me so i can tell if someone is close. i could have a green pick up sign and as soon as they get there i hear footsteps and then its to late.

Yeah, but you can easily just make yourself go red again.

Seems like something that you could hotkey pretty easily. You might could even have a different message that pops up when you're in the process of being revived, so it doesn't look like you're just being a jerk.

Nobody's going to set themselves "red" in the general case. Everyone wants people to run over, clear it, and then pick up. This system doesn't address your third sentence about being rejected. They'd be green to bring you over, spectate you running over, and switch to red when you haven't cleared the area yet. Still frustrating for the reviving party.

On the flip side, I've cleared a room and had the guy screaming "DON'T PICK ME UP KILL THE GUY FIRST" while I revived them. I'd killed the killer, dead guy had no clue.

People are going to make mistakes, better to live with it than try to engineer complicated systems to try to handle every case.

I like playing Army.. up until I gets me revive jacked by a dummy 3 times on the bounce. Always fun. Good times, makes me go Barmy.. not so Army

A great thing about not using VOIP is that people don't have to be subjected to the kind of crap I spew out (to myself) after things like this happen in the game

They who flash, be too rash. They who smoke, go for broke and they who just med, gonna be dead.

It's those who plan, who be the MAN.
If my trollery drives you crazy, you'd better put on your seatbelt.
