Gameservers Server Config

Hello,

I've been having troubles with a new server we bought from gameservers 2 days ago (by the way we've already registered the server), so if anyone knows whats wrong i would appreciate your help.

These are the problems:
  1. Server is not listed in America's Army: Proving Grounds servers list.
  2. I can't join the server by typing the server IP.
  3. I can't link the server to my Gametracker account.
  4. I can't find the config line to unlock the weapons restriction by class.

The America's Army servers support isn't giving us the answers we want because their servers admin isn't able (?), remember i'm wasting money because our clan couldn't acces the server, the only answer i got from AAPG Server Support was that there were problems with our server ports, which seems kinda stupid because its a rent server from gameservers, they must have properly configured ports or should i configure them ?.

    Please post your command line, less any user names and passwords.

    Messed up ports is SOP for gameservers.
    After you get the server to show up, your TS port will be blocked.

    FYI, the command to unlock all weapons is in the AAGame.ini file and is the UseRoles command. Set it to disable to allow anyone to use any weapon.

    Have you tried the Gameservers command to reinstall the server, just in case there was a corruption in how it was installed?

    Yes i've tried all of those things but doesnt work,

    BTW: I found the UseRoles command! THANKS.

    The log looks ok to me, communicating with the auth server. I'm guessing that they forgot to open the query port, allowing the browser to query it.


    Ports used: (This is for the default config of game running on 7778)

    UDP 9987
    UDP 7778
    UDP 8765
    UDP 8778
    TCP/UDP 27000-27030

    The firewall and/or router also need to allow outbound traffic:

    Hello m_hermann, Gameservers support says there's no problem with our server ports or config files!!, so i dont know what to do now, and as i said AA Server Support guy isnt able to help us with out problem

    Make sure you don't have any odd characters in the server name, I remember seeing a thread about that someplace!

    i run beer me server umms via game servers , most of the settings can be found in config /advanced via the control panel when you log in
