I'm confused by the scoring system

Sorry for poor title, I didn't know what to title this.

So I'm looking at my stats and comparing to by battle buddy's stats. I have more of almost everything than he does, yet he has over 10k more experience points than me. I don't understand why there is such a huge difference.

Compare the two! Here is the difference where I have more of these stats:

Bandages used: 163
Dev Kills: 2
Kills: 793
Matches Complete: 22
Takedowns: 10
Rounds Won: 491
Teammates Revived: 70
Total Objectives: 20


The only thing he has more than I do is these, here is the difference:
Matches Won: 3
Secured Enemy: 39

So I can't figure out why he has 44k points and I only have 34k points.

Hes obviously a better player than me, look at the FR difference! But still just by pure play time I have more positive stat totals, shouldn't I have higher score?

The short answer to your question is that you were almost definitely hit by the database bug (see: http://forum.americasarmy.com/discussion/3328/stats-issue-10-7-2015-from-1400-2100-cdt ) and that's inflated your stats without inflating your score.

Look at your M14 stats, for example. 211 hits, 134 in right leg & 69 in left arm? That's a really weird distribution! And only 6 kills total? I'd guess you had 2 right legs and 1 left arm in a round that was counted 67 times instead of just once.

Your stats show that you've completed 109 matches in 61 hours. That's a reasonable number and likely correct. But almost 4000 rounds in that time is less than a minute per round on average. Assuming your rounds last about as long as Breen's, you should have closer to 1600 displayed.


Sorry I don't have a more satisfying answer. It was an annoying error that screwed with stats and is now fixed, but there isn't a way to roll back just the affected numbers.

It's not a significant factor for either of them. Cantu has about 2000 XP from that, Breen about 600 XP.

The math just doesn't work on Cantu's profile. 23620 (kills) + 11870 (rounds won) + 8040 (revives) + 2230 (secures) = 45760, more than his total already. And that assumes he got ZERO credit from assists or proximity or any of the other point sources, something that's normally a fairly significant contribution to a player's total.

Another factor is he wins way more rounds than you do. Round wins give more points.

Right, I was thinking I actually had 400+ more round wins than him. As Saccho pointed out, that doesn't really make sense. With the amount of round wins I have listed and the hours played, I would have to have won every single round, each round lasting less than a minute.

The problem with Breen bombs is that the stench tends to clear out the server.

Right well yah I assumed we were already in agreement your stats were bugged. But was just commenting on what else could be a factor.
