Laptop is using HD 5500 instead of GeForce 940M

Hello,
Ii bought a new laptop with an I5 5200u and a GeForce 940M. When I play AA I only have 16 FPS (I am not playing opt in beta). I have seen videos of people playing games like GTA and Battlefield 4 with a GeForce 940M.
So I downloaded the tool GPU-Z wich showed that the built in graphic chip in the i5 (HD 5500) is running on max speed (900 Mhz) while the 940M is doing nothing.
Does anyone know how I can change it so the game (and the rest of my laptop) uses the 940M?

Long stories short you basically have to go into your Nvidia control panel,

*Navigate in Control panel or Right click desktop and choose Nvidia Control Panel
    * When open, Click Manage 3D settings
    * Ensure your making next change on the 'Global settings' tab
    * Click on the the preferred graphics processor dropdown box and choose 'high performance processor'
    click apply or save

    retry the game :)

There are other ways such as completely disabling your CPU's integrated graphics chip in 'Device Manager', but the way above should work, if not.. I'll tell you how to disable the integrated one.

Or if a video helps better..

Also make sure your laptop is set to 'High performance' in power management.
