Well, are you running both versions of the game?
I don't know why it would change after a restart of your computer. Windows has nothing to do with that folder. Something else is modifying the folder when you restart your pc. I would say just delete the folder whenever you want to play the game.

The only thing i have seen that causes changes in the config folder, leading to a crash condition, is running both versions of the game on the same computer/os. Im not sure exactly what is causing your issue. Try completely deleting the Americas army folder in documents, along with the AA folder in documents/my games. And then completely delete the steam folder and make sure its empty before you reinstall through steam. Just to hit every single possible place that may be causing issues.

Ok, I've tried another complete re-download of the game, no luck, tried opening the game via aalauncher32.exe no luck. Deleted config files located in Doc/my games/AA, no luck. The game crashes when that black "ad" screen pops up, were the flash bang goes off. Cant get past that... Only updates I've had recently were to W10. However that went smoothly and was able to play AA even after update. And Nvidia when ever there is an update there I up date it. That's about it.

You need to email the support team with this one CRO. I honestly have no idea what could be causing this as Ive never seen this issue. Maybe TOTS or someone else will see this thread soon and chime in. They aren't here on the weekends too often. But email support and see what they can do to help you.

Whoa ! And there it finally is gentz! It works, I can play. After being able to skip the intro I have no problems. NO idea why that was causing the game to not run... Unreal. THanks everyone for the tips, and help. Very appreciated! Can finally kick some [TOS Violation] again.
