Can't type on login screen

Whenever i click the password part to type my password, it doesn't let me do anything, i have ie 9 and all that.

Does it place the text marker thing (caret? ) in the field when you click you mouse, and then won't type?

First thing I'd do is go somewhere else like address bar or text doc to test your keyboard. If that's not it...hmmm...
