    Pretty much yeah :)

    It helps in nailing down a solid map, making sure its nicely balanced before sprucing it up with eye candy.. I would assume its also a well adopted practice of a game studio to aid production within a group of level designers, artists, modelers etc.

    I kinda figured it would work that way, especially timings are essential for a balanced map.
