Opt-In questions

I now play less frequently than before so if I opt for the Opt-In then will there be enough full servers to play on? I struggle real hard as it is to get someone to join me on the 2 UMM servers of the open Beta version.

My point is that if I just feel like logging in and playing a few rounds at any given time then will their be other players on the Opt-In maps to make it worth my while or will it be more like the UMM servers---empty? I prefer the FLO maps over the BDX's.

I don't mind working thru bugs in the system but I don't want to delete-download-repeat just to play a game of AA.

Thanks for your input.

There's usually at least a few servers with players playing on them, depending on time of day :)

Just took this SS at 5.40pm (my local time)

I've yet to see it empty. Problem is they are going to be updating it regularly (I believe).. so for people with bandwidth limits it's probably best to stick to beta or you could always have both versions and stop the opt-in from being able to auto update through steam, there are some guides around that will help with that if you wanted to go that route, you will this way at least get to try the game closer resembling what we will be getting upon release..

Just go in with an open mind and give it a chance, a lot changes between normal beta and opt-in, I think some players are shocked by it.. I was myself at first

Thanks [ENG]Uni-Sol, I'm glad to see that many in-game. Like I said, I don't mind the bugs and hassle at this point because I am kind of bored with the Beta version, and would like to get a head start on all those "new" players soon to come. ;)

BTW, I am 45 up/down so no problems with long downloads. B)

Steam is asking me for an update code? I just left blank and closed the Properties tab. Downloading now...

Maybe someone should explain this on website instructions....

Right click AA in your library, choose properties.. Click on beta tab.. It should just be an option in here (might look a little different on your steam client)

On another note.. I can't opt-out anymore its no longer in the dropdown options, not that I want to

I still have a "none" option, may be an issue with your skin maybe?

Yep thanks.. it was a skin issue.. shows on default.

@IO_i_OI ahh.. now I understand.. It will download as long as you select test version in the dropdown, the code part is not needed, that’s for super secret beta
