Key bindings are really buggy

I have a custom config and it doesn't work anymore. Right alt is finicky, it unbinds itself after i use it the first time in game. I'm having trouble binding ',' as well. There are other keys that won't bind at all like 'z' and 'x'. z seems to toggle the hud instead of doing what i want it to. If I bind ',' to sprint instead of right alt, it works normally. If I use right alt, it only works once. After I through a grenade I can't scope with mouse5. etc... etc...

    From a similar topic:
Right ALT is used for admin and dev voice chat. There appears to be a conflict with the keybinding system. We can look into it. Thanks for bringing it up.

It looks like the interfering command on RightAlt may be bound inside the game code, not through the normal bind system. I didn't notice it when scrolling through, so I'm guessing that may have been what [Dev]Cat meant by it may be causing conflicts.

That's almost definitely what was causing at least some of your problems, though. Alt+Z is the combo to hide the HUD, so that's where that behavior was coming from.

If you don't bind RightAlt at all, do you still have the weird problem with scoping and grenade throws?

Not sure what was causing the grenade thing, its not happening now. What happens now is mostly any action I perform stops me from running. Even if I have it bound to ',' and not 'alt'.

What I can say is that something about the keybinding files changed between open and opt-in. If you delete your entire folder from my games, let steam reacquire, and then edit your bindings from the main menu, most, if not all, of your issues (short of the dev commented on) will be resolved.
    Hello sir, excellent accuracy.

Yeah right alt is taken by some sort of admin related action now, a dev posted about it elsewhere on the forum.

Also, anyone considering removing the AA folder from my games needs to be aware that other things game related are stored there, namely saved UMMs you may be working with in the editor. So in these cases, its better to just remove the 'config' folder inside that location, or be sure what your removing is not actually something you will need to keep or backup first.

It's great to see you here Josey! :)

I was loosing the mechanism to cook grenades for the longest time. I think I might have had it binded to left-alt but not sure. After verifying cache and resetting to default binds then all was okay.
