Hey im an old player just wanting to know how many people still play this game?

Like how many servers are usually active and stuff. Want to know if this is worth re-downloading.

Also, I'm assuming that all competition is dead for this game right? Like Cevo, TWL, inters stuff right?

Not to my knowledge, they're not dead. Besides, at the login page on the site, there's stats for the game that show the number of players that were on today, and even the number of new users as well. There are still many servers, and some players still benefit from playing both AA2 or AA3.

alot of people are still playing this game if im correct even more than in AA3.Competition is still kicking off on EU side.We have esl major series here where the price pot is 750 euros and a lot of cups and ladders and stuff

http://aa-mbs.com shows the stats for players and servers in AA2.

I do, i've been playing for about a year now. AA3 was so buggy, lol. It took me forever to find a working deploy client after the AA3 switch though.

i'am not playing anymore... but today after 3-4years i was thinking on the good old late night times

I have started playing again.... my old AA2 acct was still there after almost 4-5 yrs of not playing.....Wow I was amazed.... stepped away and did COD4, then left FPS altogether for 3yrs and played GuildWars out the Ying..... now I'm coming back to FPS again.... playing a mix...... AA2, AA3, BC2, COD4.... I still have SWAT4 installed..... play it occasionally....... Have ARMAII - just not the proper system for that one yet....new Upgrade soon....

Your AA2 account doesn't expire AFAIK. Never have.

Well then , upon reading your post , i went straight to battletracker and found the following :

AA2 - 274 Players

AA3 - 278 Players

Please state facts and don't just pick figures out of the air

average players: 1/10 compared with the AA2 players of some years ago
average servers: 1/10 compared with the AA2 servers of some years ago

few people, but on average better than the AA3 players...

I'm noting that in a 2 hour gap, players may have gone for rest as someone from camp was playing the "Taps" signal.

Plus, Battletracker hasn't been very accurate lately. Compare it to AA-MBS, rather than use one source.

Right now: AA2 - 811 players, AA3 - 781 players. That's just off the login pages (not battletracker). Compared to your figures and mine, 500-900 is a fair estimate.
